The Lancaster County Longrifles rendezvous recreates the culture and technology of the pre-1840 Fur Trade Era. All clothing, accoutrements and camp gear must reflect this historic period.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: By becoming an Associate Member of Lancaster County Longrifles you obtain voting privileges for the election of Board Members. This year, you are also given the opportunity to arrive in camp on Saturday April 27t for set-up after 12 Noon. Please note: Each adult member listed on your pre-registration form must pay the $10 associate member fee in order to be present to set up camp on Saturday April 27th.
GATE HOURS: Registered Sutlers may set up beginning at 12noon on Sunday, April 28th. Early set up for campers will be Tuesday, April 30th from 8am – 8pm. All vehicles must be out of camp by dark. Event starts at 8am Wed., May 1st. You must be in period attire by this time! The gate will be open Wed., Thurs., & Fri. from 8am – 7pm and on Sat. from 8am until 12 noon for registration. Please plan to arrive between these times. A maximum of one hour will be permitted to unload and load vehicles. Camp will end at 12 noon on Sunday, May 5th. If leaving before 12 noon on Sunday, please remain in period dress while tearing down. Camps should be torn down (except for canvas) BEFORE bringing vehicles into camp for loading.
CAMPING: We have a large primitive camping area. Wood, water and ice will be available. A small modern camping area is available, no hook-ups. There is a modern campground with hook-ups located nearby. For reservations call 717-284-5850.
SUTLERS: Sutlers pay normal registration fee plus a $20.00 Sutler Fee. There will be no Modern Sutler area. Sutlers’ lodge, personal attire, display of goods & packaging MUST conform to the pre-1840 time period or kept out of sight. No exceptions. Dealers with inquiries regarding the sale of animal parts please contact the PA Game commission at 717-787-4250. The Sutler area will be open to the public Wed. thru Sat. from 10am – 5pm.
FOOD VENDORS: If any State and/or Federal rules apply that must be followed, it is your responsibility to contact the PA Dept. of Agriculture in Lancaster County at 717-705-4732.
NO PETS OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED on the grounds or in the parking area.
EVENTS: There will be separate matches at 25 & 50 yards for Rifle, Pistol, and Smoothbore. First entry in all events is included in registration fee (except 50/50 matches). Re-entries will be charged per target. We also have Primitive archery, hawk walk, hawk & knife, woods walk, children’s events, Highland games, and seminars. All competitors must have a medallion to enter events. Men, women, juniors & children may compete. Prizes for all events will be awarded on Saturday at 7pm. Pennsylvania Tomahawk and Knife State Championships:
WALK-IN SHOOTERS: Adults $30.00, Juniors $22.00, children free; includes medallion and single entry to all events except 50/50 matches. Re-entries are charged per target.
PUBLIC DAY: Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 10am – 4pm. A fee of $5 per vehicle will be charged to enter the event on Public day. Primitive camp will be open to the Public on this day only.
BLANKET TRADERS: Only registered participants may offer goods for sale.
FIRES: No flammable liquids such as kerosene, charcoal lighters, “Coleman” fuel, etc. will be permitted in primitive camp or Sutler area.
